Abstract

Afetler gelişmekte olan ülkelerde büyük çaplı can ve mal kayıplarına yol açarak, temel hizmetlerin aksamasına neden olmaktadır. Afetlerin en yaygın ve ani etkilerinden birisi afet sebebi ile yer değiştirmedir. Doğal veya insan kaynaklı afetler sonucu her yıl dünya çapında milyonlarca kişi evlerini terk etmek zorunda kalmaktadır. Bu durum başta yoksulluk ve gelir eşitsizliği olmak üzere birçok ekonomik ve sosyal soruna yol açmaktadır. Yaşanan afetler sonucu yaşanan yer değiştirme aynı zamanda sağlık sistemi üzerindeki baskıyı arttırmaktadır. Bu araştırma gelişmekte olan 39 ülke için afetlerle ilişkili yer değiştirmenin sağlık harcamaları ve gelir eşitsizliği üzerindeki etkilerini incelemiştir. Bu çerçevede 2008-2021 arasını kapsayan dönemde değişkenler arasındaki ilişki panel veri analizi tahmincileri kullanılarak tahmin edilmiştir.
